About me

Aslı AKÖZBEK

She was born on April 19, 2001 in Istanbul. Her sports career started with gymnastics and continued for 4 years. Her passion for horses outweighted everything and with the support of her family, she decided to go on with horseback riding. On September 2008, she started riding in SIEC Pony Club and her riding experience has continued to this day. Through her honest, hardworking and determined character, Aslı continues her education at Koç High School and her equestrian career at the Kemer Country Equestrian Club in a balanced and successful manner.

In 2012, Aslı began competing with her first pony SCHWEPPES. On December 19, 2014, she upgraded from pony to horses with her first horse BELLE. Aslı's riding career continued with the addition of her following teammates: 

  • ASPLENIUM on 24 April 2015,
  • DELLE JOJO on 2 September 2015,
  • TORONTO on 29 June 2016 and
  • GIPSY BOY in 15 August 2016...

In 2015, Aslı won second place in CSI* Competitions held in Porto Carras, Greece with ASPLENIUM at 1.10cm. Success continued fast and on May 8, 2016, she became second in TURKISH JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS at 1.30 cm! 

With her passion, athletic discipline and working ambition, Aslı achieved to be a national athlete at a young age. Now she continues her difficult but satisfying journey with the support of her family and coaches!
